Ivan Milev (1897-1927) was a Bulgarian painter and set designer, a representative of the Bulgarian Art Nouveau style. His paintings show motifs from simple peasant life as well as from Bulgarian songs and legends.
The work „A Zmei’s Wedding” (Dragon’s Wedding) depicts a folk legend about the „Zmei” (dragon) who steals a girl and marries her.
